Current Store Button

The Current Store Button is a special button. If you are in the Yahoo! Store Editor for any site or on a Yahoo! Store’s published site, this button will activate, showing the store ID. If you’ve added the store as one of your own, the button will instead show the store’s name. For instance, if you’re visiting http://solidcactus.com/, the button will show yhst-49241233419632. If you were to add Solid Cactus as one of your stores, the button would then show “Solid Cactus.”

If you are on a page that is not recognized as a Yahoo! Store page, this button will be disabled.

The contents of the Current Store button are as follows:

  1. If you have not added the store as one of your own – Add Store to Toolbar
  2. The dialog to add the store will already be populated with the Store ID and the title of the page. These values can be changed.
  3. Store Manager – Shortcut to the store manager page.
  4. Homepage – Shortcut to the published version of the store.
  5. Navigate to item – Opens a dialog allowing the user to skip to an item with a particular ID.
    1. If the user is on the published site, they will remain on the published site.
    2. If the user is in the editor, they will remain in the editor.
  6. Download CSV – Opens a dialog to download a simple CSV of the store’s items (of what has been published).
  7. View Orders – Shortcut to the Orders page.
  8. Site Tools
    1. Pingdom Performance Test – Shortcut to http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt
    2. Webconfs Keyword Suggestions – Shortcut to http://www.webconfs.com/website-keyword-suggestions.php
    3. PageRank Checker – Shortcut to http://prchecker.info/
  9. Copy Store ID – Copies the ID of the current store to the clipboard.

My Stores

This button shows a listing of stores added to the toolbar.

  1. Add a store – Opens a dialog to add a store to the toolbar.
  2. (Stores) – One entry for each store added to the toolbar. This list is alphabetized.
    1. (store ID) – Clicking the store ID will copy it to the clipboard
    2. Store Manager – Shortcut to the store manager page.
    3. Homepage – Shortcut to the published version of the store.
    4. Download CSV – Opens a dialog to download a simple CSV of the store’s items (of what has been published).
    5. View Orders – Shortcut to the Orders page.
    6. Remove Store – Removes the store from the toolbar.

Alerts

The alerts button is an aggregated group of preset feeds by Solid Cactus. The most recent story among all of the feeds is shown. If the most recent story has been published within four hours, it will be shown in bold and red. On the other hand, it will be shown in gray if it was published more than two days ago.

Clicking the button when a story is shown will open the URL associated with that story. If the story is marked as new, it will be returned to normal alert formatting (it will lose its red color and bold status).

Feeds

Feeds are updated every half hour.

The feed list is stored in the variable sb.feeds on the about:config page. The feeds are stored in a pipe-delimited format.

  • Solid Cactus Blog - http://blog.solidcactus.com/?feed=rss2&cat=45
  • Yahoo! System Status - http://feeds.feedburner.com/yahoo/systemstatus?format=xml
  • eBizInsider - http://feeds.feedburner.com/eBizInsider?format=xml
